Default whats a SHRCCC "popular car"

hi guys,

i had to pack up buggy's a while ago and focus on touring cars 100% as i couldn't get lifts to both. now i'm in the situation where i will soon have my own real car (finally ) at my disposal.

ive been out of the gossip for things with spikey tires for a bit, especially 1/10th. so whats everyone running here? i want to make sure i get my hands on a good car not something that everyone thinks is a dog

also whats a competitive tire insert combo on your astro, wet & dry please.

ive been following the club on FB for the whole time ive not been racing thanks to Neil's updates

cheers, Cal

Default hmmmm

well, the awesome XB4 from xray is most popular and for good reason works in 2wd and 4wd. Loads have them.

the 22 from losi is as always a good car

a few with the TM2.

and a vega trent has just started.

but there is a mix of cars really.

tyres. normal suspects like shuey yellow spikes for the dry and BB greens and Bboots for the wet stuff.

new astro is grippy and sand free so lots of things work now.

Popular at the top:

Vega (various)
XB4 (in 2wd format)
Losi 22
Yokomo
TM2

Top guys seem to be going for a Vega (great in the slick) with Losi/Kyosho/Durango front ends.

There is an RB6 too in mid motor.

Tbh it's difficult, if you have a budget I'd go for Losi 22 or Yokomo with a metal chassis, if you have £400 them Vega + front end.
