remove the bottom row of springs or the top, but leave one side in and it slots right in

I would say it totally depends on what battery you have , mine fits in without having to remove any springs at all.

I admit it is quiet a small mah battery but i still go weeks without charging.

In what way is it not fitting?
I have to raise the receiver plug up a bit to get the pins to line up cleanly.

Can anyone PLEASE tell me why the radio recognizes right steering input so the car steers and if the beeper goes cos' i've left it i can hit the stick right and it will stop beeping BUT, if i try to change the steering balance the star will not show up next to it on the screen it only works left so i am unable to change the value for right. Also if i try direct access by moving the stick right and pushing the trim lever i cannot access it going right either again only going left, WTF?

Sounds like the sticks need re calibrating . Tells you in the manual how to do it somewhere

Thanks for the reply Adam. Tried to do the recalibration and it won't let me do it, i get the 3 beeps and according to the manual there is an abnormality in the steering as it won't let me move to the next stage of doing the throttle. Does that mean it's broke?

I would suspect that there is something wrong with your steering pot. From memory it won't let you change steering balance (swap the *) unless it sees the stick go so far into that travel (it might even be full). Yours isn't getting that far. As Adam suggested, I would have gone with the calibration "Adjust VR" routine, but if it gives a steering error, then I guess there is something actually wrong with it.

Thanks for the help.
Is it as easy as it looks to fix? 2 screws and a small white plug? and what radios can i sacrifice to the steering pot god that will fit it?
