210fps... the future of RC filming...
check out this small snippet of footage
http://www.facebook.com/video/video....4748783&ref=nf I have more, nothing 'on track' yet but hopefully that will change. filmed at 210 frames a second, played back at 30fps, basically a 7th of the speed of 'full speed'

Top stuff. Slowmo vids of RC cars are ace, I find it amazing to see all the stresses going on.
Now stop teasing and put up more vids

I'd really like to know what camera you used for this, I've seen a few videos already in slow motion on the track and it really is incredible seeing how they land. What you think looks like a smooth landing on a jump actually looks really stressful on the car.

I love high-fps camera's, I would love to get myself a casio ex-f1 pro to do some high speed stuff, not just of r/c stuff I would have a load of uses for it with various sports I do!

my toy is a Casio EX FS-10. I am VERY impressed with Casio's camera!!!
for high speed stuff, good light is essential. I want to get better video's, this was just a test/proof of concept, there is another one up here http://www.facebook.com/video/video....2633783&ref=mf it would be SO dialed on a loose dirt tracks, bumps, jumps, wheel-to-wheel. watching RC at normal speed you miss SO much of whats actually going on

Thats fantastic, really cool.
Your right in what you say about slow-mo catching what is happening to the vehicle. Check this video of some German guys bashing their 1/5th scalers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPlI2...layer_embedded The way the chassis and suspension moves around is awsome and is real testament to just how much hammer these things can take. |

You do miss a lot of what is going on with rc cars at normal speed as everything usually happens so fast.
As I said earlier I would love one of these for doing slow motion video's of rc cars as well as other stuff like Archery that I do. |

I have always been fascinated with the ultra-slow-mo stuff, like balloons bursting, bullets being fired and stuff, when I found a 'compact' camera that could do high speed filming too I was sold!
it takes really good static photos too it can film at 400 and 1000fps too but the resolution is too low to make it worth while and you need a ridiculous amount of light on the subject

Ever since I had heard about the chip that they had made which would allow this sorta high speed video in consumer grade camera's I've wanted one. Casio released the the EX-F1 a few months after. I just wish I had the funds to actually buy one, I would make non-stop slow motion videos!
