Post New SX3 Owner

Hi Guys,

I have just got a second hand SX3 and i cannot read the weights on the springs fitted to the shocks, so does anyone know what the kit springs are? also is there anything i should consider when checking the car is ok? i think the only upgrade i need is the front tower mounts in ali is there anything else i should consider?

Cheers

Windy

Depends where you're racing but alloy steering conversion and 7.5 front caster blocks can be useful. Also front alloy 10 degree hangers.

For upgrades I would just start with the alloy front suspension hangers, upper transmission housings and bando belts. Also Nortech whities or the new red Schumacher shock O rings are good. The blue Schuey ones leak oil for a past time. I'm still running the stock plastic steering arms, SX3 arms seem to be stronger than previous ones.
Useful things to check on the car are the belts, diffs, bearings etc. Check none of the suspension hanger bolts are bent etc as they can work loose.

You've picked a good car though, mines been tough and is real nice to drive.

Only thing I've fitted to my car is the new steering rack and the wider rear conversion rest is stock

When your building the car I would put the bando belts in as they do break.
