Default pinion trouble

Whats the best way of getting the pinion of the shaft? The grub screw is knacked. Dont want to damage te shaft. cheers

buy a new pinions, and drill out the old grub screw....

Pinion gears are only $4, and a gear puller is FAR more if you can't find somebody that has one.

I'd cut a slot into the pinion grub screw with a thin dremel wheel and back the screw out with a flatblade.
