Default What lens?

Love the pictures Jimmy , the Euro pictures are top self!
Just a quick question what fish eye lens are you using? I was thinking of either the DX Fisheye 10.5mm F/2.8G or the Sigma 15mm F2.8 EX DG DIAGONAL Fisheye.

I am using the 10.5mm DX fisheye. I chose it because it seems to be just about the best fisheye around. Colours are great, focuses close, its small and light. Not cheap though, but a proper fisheye never is.

yea, my lens came from Hong Kong if I'm honest. I paid import duty but it was still a lot cheaper than over here.

haha, I will bear that in mind! I have never in my entire life been in a camera shop that sold the kind of cameras and lenses that I have. They are a bit too specialized for jessops I think.

The Sigmas not bad actually, the old one was appauling but the new ex is ok. If you have a film cam isnt the Sigma your only choice cause wont the DX only work on the digi bodies?!?!

Neither though, i dont think, are as good as the canon fisheye, only lens i've seen thats beaten that has been on a blad or RZ..

I got the nikon DX since its full frame on the nikon DX body. The canon isnt so you dont get quite as mad an angle ? (though on my 1.3 body im sure its not too bad) but also I used the Nikon 10.5 before and liked how close it could focus (couple of inches) which I dont think the canon can do.

I wouldnt mind having a look at your Canon fishy craig. The guys I met in austria, now they had some lenses. All L series things and absolutely loads of them.

Again thanks for the help!! I decided to go with your recommendation and get the Nikon. I have a thing for instant gratification and have looked everywhere for the lens but no one had one in stock. I almost had to order it on line but I found a small camera shop that I forgot existed and they had one left…. I ended up shelling out about 740 Euros for it.
Hope to give it a proper test run later tonight!
