Supposedly, it's wicked on high bite tracks like Astroturf, and a bit twitchy on looser tracks, but I still maintain that a race chassis should be stiff and then point the finger at the shocks—and not use a flexible chassis to put a Band-Aid on poor suspension performance.

It has been on a shelf in my shop since I got it, and I'm not too sure what I am going to do with it. I have thought about having the chassis hard anodized to match the DEX410 look and acquire Durango shocks for it, but we'll see. It does already have a planetary gear diff like it's big brother, though.
To follow Doug's Lipo chassis build posted in this thread - http://www.oople.com/forums/showpost...&postcount=438 - i would like to present you with the NiMh Version. i picked this chassis up to build a good while back and it has been on hold for way to long. i am glad to say it is nearly complete now. this chassis had been very well used before i got my hands on it, and seeing i have too many "pretty" cars on the shelf this one WILL be raced. i will be making another body using greens instead of the pink/orange combo later on. here are some of the stuff i used to build this fine buggy.

Very impressive, I love the looks of that

Just a question, do you think colorsinc.com could also anodize in a Durango colour if I'd send a sample of that colour with the part I'd like anodized? And how much did it appromximately cost to get all that anodized?

colorsinc will custom mix any color that you would need but that service does cost more. that also have a slightly higher minimum cost than smaller places. i used a basic color that they have, and spent $132usd. i also got their "bright" finish. if you wanted a satin finish the cost would be down to $120usd.

now for that price i had 60 pieces anodized. including all of the parts for this car, a vintage power supply case, and the alloy handles for my rc tools. so at least for the price i got a good amount of parts done.

those sort of tires remind me of the old tamiya style from the 80s
what sort of track are they used on, as i have seen them on a few cars on this site.
