So, Welshy, I am just going to wait for your prototype.
Bits were made today, so next week the first proto is getting built. I have to see it in the flesh before I redesign it a bit as issues will occur. Still I will post pics when its built.

Also has anyone seen my set up for the ZX-S as its dialed for grass, astro and wanted to tweak my settings but cant find it, and i have no idea what oil went in so am buggered at the moment.

My set up. Be warned schumacher yellow mini pins dont wprk and avoid at all costs. The cars design was specifically for clay and has stupid steering with mini spikes and undriveable steering with pins with the less castor settings.

I would advise using middle rear wishbone hole and middle rear mount. Oil start with 40wt. Front outer wishbone hole and same angle as rear on shock tower. Front top wishbone level with uj. Oil start with 45. Pistons are your preference but may help you decide and work out for your car if using trf 511 shocks like me same pistons as lee Martin. Springs im using rear tamiya blue and front red losi. Also rear hubs middle hole bottom and second hole top.

Thats my starting pointer for you but ive lost the full setup as i tinkered with it and got it right for grass and astro and a second a lap off the pace of a top driver on carpet using spikes.

I am thinking about the big bored shocks.

Are they that much better? is it really needed?

Big bore shocks are harder to set up but only come into their element on big jumps as the landing is smoother so less impact or bounce after hitting the floor. Not really needed unless youve got lots of jumps

Iso,

Ive forgotten what the length is of the long front Uj for the wider front end of the ZXR and also what size is the rear standard Uj.

Ive put the Kyosho rebuildable UJs below, so please let me know what ones are needed. Cheers

LA231 is 68mm long (coloured Black)
LA232 is 65mm long (coloured Black) - Is this the front long one?
LA245 is 62.5mm long (coloured Silver) - Is this the rear one?
LA257 is 73mm long (coloured Silver

I will be paying my supplier for the parts I designed this week.

In 3-4 weeks, I will have all my parts. I am only making minimum quantities because I don't know how many are in demand.

I am going to get the belts and small pulley finalized in a week or two.

We can all get alloy small pulleys and kevlar corded polyurethane belts soon (Blue).

Ok last night i dremelled a long slot on my zxr mk1 layshaft and basically moved the layshaft position in the gearbox so i have more shaft for the slipper clutch. Ive added a zxs oneway which gives me 5mm more space but now have a problem. The zxr mk1 and 2 slipper spring is too narrow as it can go beyond the screw thread so any ideas on other rc companies sizes of springs? Im after same length but slightly wider to get my new slipper working.

Are you able to describe to me what the spring is? How is it too narrow? Do you have pictures? If you can get me some measurements (diameter of spring, diameter of coil, etc) then I might be able to help you find a spring. There are plenty of standard spring in the spring industry that can suit your application.

Yeah the LA-232 is the correct for the front
Tha LA-245 i have bought those and they are the same as the UM510 ie they have the long axle with the 62.5 bone if you get the um ones they come with an sleeve to make it shorter but it wont fit with the hexes that you and i use the VZW-10 ones.

So for the rear on my lazers what i have done is that i have gotten the 62,5 bone and the LA-231.02 axle.

It makes everything easier.

I guess what welsh has done is that he moved the slipper shaft to the right so now he needs an longer spring since it will come up short.

Btw welsh the 501 guys i have seen uses an diff spring from the losi diff.... if i remember ir correctly

like this http://www.oople.com/forums/attachme...7&d=1321917292
