Question Wire Braiding

Hi Everyone,

I've seen some stunning looking wire braiding from RudeBits in carbon effect

What I don't know is what is needed to install it

Can I simply slip/stretch it over the top of the existing wiring and plugs etc or am I going to have to take the plugs off everything (e.g. Receiver, Servo too) to get it all on?

I ask because if it slips/stretches over I'm ok, but not really confident in my skills enough to start removing and replacing receiver and servo plugs

Thanks in advance for the help

Hi

The braiding can stretch a little but removing and replacing the black plug on receivers is actually very easy.
Look at the plug and you will notice that you can just lift the tap and draw out the wire with the connector attached. When replacing it will simply snap into place - Just be gentle with it or removal
Also the kits come with different diameters for this very reason - they are designed to do all the wire of all sizes

Hope that helps you

Thanks alot for the info, I guess it's one of those things that looks a lot more duanting than it actually is (once done of course)

Also, the black carbon look braiding does look awesome - legends for bringing it out!

get some heat shrink for the ends also, they tend to fray a bit and spoils the look. I realised this after i installed mine.
