How much is it tightened?

I thought I had this prolem when I first built mine, but the diff in the 210 needs to be fairly tight to work, so it wasn't really an issue.

Make sure you compress the spring before you build it. Pliars will do it, or stick it in a vice.

I had the exact same problem with my diff, I used a dremel to cut the spring down, not ideal but it was a quick fix.

Contact the shop where you purchased the car from or durango directly, they should sort you out with a replacment.

It is fustrating when your in the middle of a build and you have to stop because of such a small part, I also had no cross pins for the CVD's in my kit, but I guess pressure for demand can cause these kind of mistakes at the factory.

But don't let this put you off, this car is AWESOME and worth waiting for, I have never driven such a good 2wd off road.

I compressed the spring with the vise and seems to be OK .but during bending in of the diff suddenly the diff stop working, no matter how tight is the screw the main gear keep turning.

Three attempts in rebuilding the diff, same problem, once fitted I can't getting to tight.

had the same problem, compress the spring..
before you build the diff screw the long diff screw all the way into the thrust nut, then put it together screw all the way till its tight , and back the screw off a bit

Guiness, i will put money on it that its the little bugger of a circlip. Either do what others say and get the gear diff (as I did) or throw away the circlip and get the Xray sprung steel versions and you will be sorted. Loads of info available on here about the DEX210 diffs, Good Luck!

Reopened.........c clip came out from were was supposed to stay.
Took it out.....expanded a bit .....put it back in ,is not moving .
Let's fit back in again the diff.

Btw. What the part number for the xray version?
I was of the idea the c clips were things of the past.

Xray 966080 8mm dia. CH-clip (10)

This is what u need. Re-extending the original circlip wont work since it will have lost some tension and when compressed in the diff it will pop back out once you start to tighten the diff.

Cheers
