gearing advice needed

hi ppls ...i need some advice if ok..

im running a 12 single[brushed] and im not sure what pinion to use ...and im thinking of placing an 8 single[brushed] ...i dont have fdr's for the motors so im looking for a rough guide ..please

sorry im using the dex 410r it that makes any diff
