What's the best stick 2.4ghz out at the moment ?

depends how much you want to spend....Sanwa Gemini X, Sanwa Exzes X or Sanwa Exzes Z, nothing else comes close (or is still available to buy)

Hi,
I have just changed to a Sanwa Exzes Z with RX-472 receivers, used my son's Sanwa Exzes X whilst on holiday and thought it was a great set. I am running nearly everything on factory settings at present, the feel and response is excellent with both the the X & Z sets.
My original radio gear was a Ko Universe with Spektrum module and receivers and in my opinion was not as responsive.

i had one of these for 6 months and had zero problems...although the sticks were a little long...these can be cut down

i have now upgraded to a gemini x though

Sanwa Gemini X uses the same FHSS3 Technology as the more expensive EXZES models that have a lot of extra features that you may not need. The Core/Etronix Tx's are okay for the money but the control with Sanwa is super smooth and fine

I have the Core type tranny and am quite happy with it.

Quite happy. Not entirely happy. Never have any reception problems and the set certainly feels fine in the hand and to use. However I recently invested in in a top notch Xpert servo and this has shown up a bit of a shortcoming with the transmitter.

The servo jitters like a maniac! I believe the frame rate of the transmitter is too slow for the servo. ie the servo is so reactive that it's showing up this slight flaw. It judders and jitters from one end of it''s travel to the other. The car is still driveable, but it's not nice.

I'll go back to my old, slightly slower servo in the meantime, but I'll be looking to upgrade to a Futaba or Sanwa soon.

If you buy the sanwa Gemini it will last you for years and is super reliable, as well as being fast enough and accurate enough to cope with anything you could ever throw at it....buying one of the budget ones may well be ok for a time, but I assure you the time will come when you need to upgrade....to a Sanwa, so buying one now will save you money in the long run.

Buy the best and buy once.......buy budget and buy twice lol

I went from a KO Universe to the Gemini X and think it's a much better built set.

It has all the functions you actually use and is simple to work with. Add to this how well balanced it feels in hand and I can see no reason you'd go for the Exzes range unless you really really needed some of the more advanced mixing features (trust me you don't).

Ive got the exzes z and its been very good so far, price tag in the uk is a bit mental though.. Been messing around with one of those super vortex speedos, very handy being able to adjust your esc setting from your radio in practice

Futaba 3VCS or Sanwa Exzes Z are the ones to have.

I would recommend the 3VCS as I have one and it is totally reliable and can use FRSky receivers at £23 a pop as against the Futaba ones at over £100 each! There is also the 3GR which is not as highly specced, but the bits missing are not used in cars much anyway, so it is a relative bargain at under £250.

Everyone I race with using the Sanwa rates it very highly indeed. 12th is very demanding of radio reliability, speed and accuracy. The 3VCS and Exzes Z are the most popular radios in our pits - 'nuff said! HTH
