Default new Hobao 2wd

http://www.redrc.net/2012/02/toy-fai...ao/#more-51469

Hobao are showing off a number of prototype cars on their stand the first of which is a new 2wd electric buggy. Featuring a long wheelbase similar to that of the TLR22, it has an aluminium chassis and the ability to switch the motor from rear to mid motor while retaining the ability to use a full size stick pack. Details are not yet locked down but they are aiming for a mid summer release date.

Inspired by a lot of cars from what I can make out, but not a clone of anything specific.

Looks to have potential.

Looking at the photos it seems similar to the 22 except without the motor in fundamentally the wrong place for the mid configuration. So a 22, but fixed...

That looks pretty good, I've got to say I'm tempted to get one when they come out.

Just curious, but how is the motor in the wrong position on the 22 and how is the Hoboa different? I don't own a 22, so I don't know the layout. Ta

The motor on a 22 is too far forward, so the weight isn't over the rear wheels, plus as the gear box is quite long and low, the "kick" from the motor under power that helps with traction on mid motor 2wds is less.
