Default SV2 Pivot pins

Just a query really, and wondering if anyone else has had an issue with the pivot pins on the front arms that hold the pivots to the front arms. Never had a problem with them until about 2 weeks ago, and since then, they have come loose, or completely fallen out in about half of the races and heats I have partook in. The irritating thing is that Schumacher do not have any in at the moment, so I am not sure whether the pin has somehow fouled and needs replacing. The other room is fine, and has never been an issue.

Thoughts?

I had the opposite, mine seemed as if they weren't threaded properly.

Hi,

I would say you have probably over tightened at some point and the plastic has become worn, I've done it myself... The kit plastic one's are made of a hard compound as appose to the medium flex one's which are made of a lot softer material, however both are fine unless over tightened.

Your best bet is to get a fresh set of arms and start again.

Hope this helps.

Rob

Got some new front arms ordered, so hopefully this will cure the problem. Thanks for the advice.

I just put the pivot pin through the wishbone in the other direction and tighten it up...works for me.

Think it was the arm as I have changed it now and it all seems good now.
