Default Van Recomendations

Afternoon guys

Just to cut to the chase I'm on the hunt for a van as I'll need one for a new business I'm starting up....

What I'm looking for ideally is a SWB van, feel it be big enough for what I need. I've set a budget aside of £3k inclusive of VAT.

I've very little knowledge on the light commercial side when it comes to manufacturers so naturally after any recomendations

renault kangoo's or peugeot partner or citroen berlingo are good reliable van, my last kangoo went too 190000 before being killed by a very cold winter, and for around £3000 should be able too get something around the 2005/2006 age depoending on mileage etc

Cheers for the reply fella

I've looked at the Berlingo & notice the 2 other are very similar in size, I'm thinking along the lines of a Citroen Dispatch when it comes to size.

Sounds like your Kangoo was pretty reliable fella, which is another consideration of mine looking for something which is value for money too....

Kango is ok but small and plastic
Combos are good so are berlingos I had all three
But really the king of small vans is the Vw caddy mk3
I love mine more than all the above
Big space Really comfy quick and ok on juice45 50 mpg
More in the sdi
3000 will get ya an early sdi model

Vw's are the best by far. We also have a 56 plate vaux combo and thats quite good on juice and roomy. side sliding door too which is nice.

Default vivaro/trafic

If you want a good cheap van look at the renault trafic/vauxhall vivaro. They drive almost like a car, will carry a lot of weight if needed, are fairly compact for the weight they can carry, and in my experience very reliable. 45 + mpg.
I run a business and would not go back to transits, and vw dont offer value in my opinion.
