Brushless for the X-6
What brushless speedo's fit the X-6 ? I've tried the Losi and the speed passion GT and neither of them fit unless somebody has come up with an answer ? I don't want to DREMEL the chassis So is it the LRP or NOSRAM speedo's the only ones that fit without any mods ?

The Nosram / LRP will fit without any mods but if you want to install it so it sits square in the chassis (a la Racer's Review Car), you'll need to dremel approx 6mm off of the top of the chassis mould ejector pin feature - the little half circular bump that protrudes into the ESC pod.
5 minutes with a dremel and a suitable milling bit - easy peasy - and taking only a small amount from the top of the mould feature isn't likely to reduce the integrity of the chassis in any way. But like I say - you don't need to do it if you don't mind the ESC not sitting square in the pod. |

A Tekin R1 or RS will fit nicely with room to spare

I managed to get the GTB in, but only just, its squeezed in and the velcro isnt holding it a huge amount. Has never fallen out though

If using a NIMH setup http://2wdrc.com/tech/GTB.htm
If your using Lipo you can also place the GTB in the middle (where the 2 cells used to be) |

Novak fits with dremelling but it really wont weaken the chassis.
The LRP Nosram have a smaller footprint so should fit in without any work. |

Cheers boy's, i'd seen ellis's install but i was just after other option's thanks for the info. Just one more question why isn't the receiver on the right side of the car where the arial mount is ? is it just to keep the motor wires shorter ?

yes origional in the 3gear kit the speedo was meant to be on left hand side but no the motor has been turned around with the 4gear it makes sense to swap the speedo and reciever over to keep the wiring a nice easy route to the motor, just need to make your own airiel mount or get an after market one for the reciever

So I'm gay eh Lee
No help for you now in Italy You can run the aerial wire behind the servo if you want and use the normal mount. I just swapped it all round as it looks neater to have the speedo that side for the wiring. |
