Default Schelle clutch TLR 22 2.0

Hi guys can anyone point me in the right direction and tell me is this builder/driver error or something else that I need to know, need answers ASAP as I'm running another of these clutches in my new B5M both cars are fresh builds

It looks like you've way over tightened it, I had the avid one on my 22 a while back and after I ran it a few times it threw off a little bit of flash but nothing this drastic ahah,

Its hard to see whats happened to the last plate thats stuck in there,
Did you make sure the cone spacers were the right way round?

Default Schelle clutch

The clutch was built as per instructions and double checked, the motor plate gold washer seemed ok however the gold washer on the gear broke in two, now I only screwed nut on till flush with start of thread.

I have the avid version on mine and had to shim it out a little to stop it rubbing on the motor plate, which might be worth a check as that will cause excess friction.

If the nut is only flush on the thread, it may have been slipping too much, therefore generating excessive amounts of heat.
