Quite a few to ship now. Got a big bag with covers today. Been "bubble wrapping" all night, ha ha.
I check each part before packing them, so it takes some time.

I expect to have shipped all orders before friday.

UK customers who choose express mail:
Royal Mail seem to have difficulties delivering mail. Sent one express mail last friday, still not arrived. Package left sweden on saturday morning...

Their web tracking service does´nt work with foreign post(!) so I think you have to contact them in order to track your packages.

Not sure if express mail is worth the extra cost. Registered post seems to be just as fast, approx 5 days. Don´t know why...

Made some minor updates on the short rear and long rear diff cover.

They no longer have a flipable top plate. Not many that used that option the 511 so. I thought it was a good idea though, ha ha!

Also made the covers a bit slimmer.

New 3-piece short diff cover (closest to camera) and the old 4-piece cover:

New cover is a bit slimmer than old one.

I would love to get one front and one rear cover for the 501! Is that still possible to order them from you?
Because the last post in this forum is quite a bit ago!

These are very much still available, we even carry them in stock if needed, but due to postage costs buying direct from Fredrik will be better as you are in Belgium.

Hold on a sec, you said 501X.. Fredrik only made a 'long rear cover' for the 501X, the 'short front' and 'short rear' covers only fit the 511X (since they changed the diff mounts for the 511)..

I run a 501X and ran into the same problem.. The other 501X parts Fredrik made are:

Carbon Fiber Lipo Tray

Redesigned Front and Rear Shock Towers (since the 501 and 511 use the same towers)

Selling out current stock of diff covers for 511.
Have a few short front/rear and a couple of long rear ones.

Long rear cost 30 euros. Short rear goes for 15 euros each.

I hope they fit gear diffs because my Alaste diff covers just arrived yesterday from Sweden, and my gear diff units are coming back with my friend from Japan next week. Does anybody have a definitive answer on this yet or what? I'm sure one of us here has both Fredrik's diff covers, and the new gear diff units. So whats the verdict?? Do they fit or not???

I now only have 2 front diff covers and 2 short rear covers left.

Thanks to all of you that have given nice feedback and comments.

Special thanks to Lee Martin and the TRF team.
I´m honored that you and the rest of the team have used my parts.

Fred, I'm sure this is not the end of Alaste R/C. I hope you have some more insightful design solutions for future bad R/C car engineering. Well I shouldnt say bad R/C car engineering, I should say not as well thought out, because if it was, Tamiya would have done a better job covering up those diffs. Tamiya should hire Fred in my opinion.

Thanks again Fredrik! I do not have my rear cover on my 511 right now, but for outdoor or dirty conditions, the covers provide HUGE peace of mind! Just wanted to say thanks.
