I'm not fond of it's aesthetics to be honest: in places there seems to be too much going on and other spots are too empty - and then I'm not even speaking of the body...

It's easy to look past that though... very interesting chassis design Not scared of being different!

I don't really see the link with the DEX410 some people are making... the 410's layout focused on making the car as narrow as possible (less roll?) - The Sworkz chassis layout to me seems to focus on making a compact block in the middle that holds the majority of the car's weight (quicker to change direction?).

In addition to that, it seems they wanted to import some features not usually seen on 1/10 racing bugs... For one I like the captured CVDs (I don't see why so few brands use these), and the pivot ball suspension might be able to hold bigger impacts (depending on if Sworkz has removed material to reduce durability down to 'normal' levels again or not).

Not had a good look at the shell, but must have a huge bulge for the esc as it looks to be mounted on top of the servo? I should think it has the ability to take saddles, but if you put them in it looks like a durango ugly half sister!

Looking at it I would say the eletrics were fitted in a hurry for the show, all that wire everywhere and the MRT at the back, hmmm not many people put the transponder as far back as you can, MRT! they have obviously not using RC4....Ahhhh

If they have any sense (?) there will be a pair of option side pods and shell which allow you to fit a pair of saddles either side of the rear prop.

With the space at the back it would be easy for them to release sidepods that hold saddles - And if they don't, you could get custom ones 3D printed, making the car legal

Edit: Just saw matts post - problem solved (for now - I think the ROAR should abandon their strange fears of purpose-built shorty LiPo chassis'

Any news on this front? Release date, drivers who've seen or driven one perhaps? Surely I'm not the only one looking at the car and thinks 'It is beckoning me to learn more about it'?

It seems this has slipped off everyone's radar? At least, I haven't seem any news or updates of it anywhere!

Any news about it?

Answer RC are marketing it and September would seem about right. Biggest change from these pictures is that it can now use standard LiPo's rather than the shorties shown. Certainly looks a bit different... Not too sure about the bodyshell...

Normally I would say the right paint can turn any body shell however ugly into something much better looking... but I'd have to agree on this one, the body is extremely different. The window area is very small and the front is super chunky compared to the incredibly narrow rear. Expect to see Proline and others getting on board to sort this out... However maybe this will change before production ?

I think it will as the car has had to be modified to carry standard saddles which is going to change the profile of the chassis a fair bit.

Judging by the latest teaser, the shell has been changed. (If the Green outline is to be believed!)
