Don't laugh, it does work! You could use that and it remains popular in some clubs. However, it isn't a format many people use so finding proper set-ups is harder. Youn will need to find the right 2S cell that is small enough and is in a case. It must be in a case otherwise you can't run it.

On certain tracks - usually open ones - the 1S/13.5 combo will beat a 2S/21.5 and on short very twisty tracks the 2S/21.5 comes out on top. If the track where you run is a 2S/21.5 club then go for it. If not, then be prepared to be beaten on some layouts and there is nothing you can do about it.

At the GT Nationals with their large tracks, I would expect a 2S/21.5 to be left behind. HTH

Bad phrasing - I meant to show that large tracks are not the home of 2S and that a GT National track was an example. 2S is not a BRCA class so no, it can't be run at Nationals.

Can you reduce the steering end points on your radio? I only run 80% on a small tight track to start with and increase when I need it,
Also first heat I only additive the rears.
What gearing, timing, punch are you using?

Sounds like something fairly fundamental. Things to check:

Switch the car on and turn steering full lock - now spin both front wheels. Do they move? If not, then you've got too much throw and need to turn it down. Look at the front suspension, are all the screws done up (not tight, but not loose) - I've had this a couple of times where a screw comes loose and gives some fairly savage handling characteristics.
Check ride height - should be about 3-4mm.

What body are you running? Ascari with supplied wing?

Turn your brakes down a lot, you hardly need any brakes at all for GT12, if the rear axle locks up as it unloads during braking/corner entry etc, then you will turn on a sixpence (50p piece now lol)

Don't give up, it's a great class once you've got it sorted. Also go along to your local club and ask one of the faster guys to have a look at it for you.

Hope you get it sorted.

Get help from someone at your track.

People can't see every bit of your set-up and transmitter details so might be tricky to help. Could be something quite small.

Foams

Make sure you have the harder ones on the front and softer on the rear.

And if your using additive only do 50% of the fronts from the inside edge to begin with and full width on the rears.
