Whats the site address?

SEO is a black art...there is a tonne of stuff on the t'interweb about it though if you are bored enough to read through it all?

Infact SEO is so vast that you can take a full 3 month module on it at Uni :/

Hello,

What is the website and I might be able to offer you some pointers to help with SEO.

The main thing to do is get inbound links to your site from other relevant websites using key words you want to rank highly for and also outbound links are starting to improve the ranking of a website. This combined with keywords in your content, good HTML mark up, relevant title and alt tags etc always help. Use a H1 tag as your main header and then move down through h2 - 5 for sub headings, including key words in each. H1 is the most important, but don't over use it.

Google is also now looking at Social media and ranking sites depeding on social media presence, so if your site fits into an area where you can use Social media affectly this is a good option.

Listing in directories is also a good way to increase traffic to your site.

Let me know if you need anything else and I will be happy to help!

Thanks,
Steve

Thanks guys!

I cant really say what website it is as the company is quite large, could be quite embarressing!

Problem is our web dept are too swamped to do it themselves, and it looks like we are going to outsource it to an SEO company.

Has anyone had any experience ith these? They seem uber-expensive!

Thanks again in advance....
