All the shocks parts are direct fit, diffs and diff gears/pinions are the same, B44 front and rear driveshafts fit, rear wishbones are identicle, front wishbones do fit but the inner part of the wishbone where it fits onto the front bulkhead needs to be cut down abit to fit, fronts hubs and castor blocks fit, most bearings are the same and thats about it i think.

Almost Mike, the rear shocks are the same, the B44 fronts have longer shafts - BJ4 shafts are from the B4. Rear wishbones need a little material taking away same as the fronts to clear the bottom of the gearbox case, unless you do as I do and remove a tiny bit from the gearbox then B4/44 arms go straight on.
I'm running B44 caster and steering blocks on my BJ4 now, they are a worthwhile upgrade

all you have to do with the B44 shafts though is add 3mm of internal preload spacing then there the same length travel as B4 shafts if theres no B4 shafts around then you have the option of more travel if the driveshafts arn't going to pop out?

I'll look up the part numbers for you, it is just the caster block, steering block and the bushes that go in the steering block you need

What packs are you running?

If they're soft cased you can modify the existing plastic tray's as Andy says to fit. If you're using Trakpower's I'd suggest the Diggity Designs saddle braces, thats what hold my Trakpower's in

The AE tray for the B44 (if thats what you linked, the link doesn't work btw ) should fit in theory, although I've not seen a BJ4 with one fitted.

Oh I like that Diggity designs brace. Can you get that in the UK, if so any idea where?

Why are they worthwhile ?

On the steering block for instance, I don't understand why replace an rigid/precise aluminium steering with a b44 plastic one ?

more flex = less stress on other parts, less likely to break other parts...

So I guess you don't believe into all these blue alloy FT upgrades for some structural parts(like the optional FT B44 alloy caster block)

nope, if you start buying blue alloy bling parts the stress is just passed over to other parts that in most cases cost more to replace when they break! I've never broken a plastic hub/steering block on my car.

Less unsprung weight, less slop and as Mike said less stress on other components if you hit something
