Simon

I have sent an email to the Tiverton club highlighting this post.

I love the look of your track and if we don't end up with a swords championship i would love to come and race anyway.

The last 1/10 swords i raced in was in 1989.

Look forward to racing in Cornwall again.

If the new off road track gets built at Mendip club in W-S-M there might be another club interested in getting involved

I sent an email to your club contact details infowcrccc@gmail.com if you reply we can have a chat.

I raced in the SWORDS in 1988 and 1989 then i moved to national circuit racing. Now i'm back where i started. It would be great to race in the southwest again because the travelling gets to be a drag.

I have a video from the Weston super Mare SWORDS from August 1988. In which i finished 3rd.
I was driving a SWB Optima Mid. Other cars racing were:
Schumacher CAT XLS
PB Maxima
PB Mini Mustang
Optima Turbo
And newly released LWB Optima Mid and Yokomo Super Dogfighter.

If i can get some help to do it i will post it on youtube.

I doubt that will happen again and it's a shame, we only have the grass / astro track for offroad and I think the arena was resurfaced for the horses as we would not be using it anymore.

But I would love to have the swords here, I've been reading about there is a new club forming in Gillingham, would this be in the south west? Or south?

Default SWORDS

How about organising a meeting between all the clubs at a central venue? By the sounds of it there is a few clubs interested and i am sure we can organise something between us all

Come on Guys and Girls lets get 1/10 Buggy Racing back alive in Cornwall,Devon and Somerset

I have very good memories of SWORDS Events and Yeovil Indoors from back in the 90's and i want to relive those memories and bring the SWORDS back to life

If anybody wants to speak to me regarding organising a meeting please ring me on 07528 818100

Iain Pollard

Thats Great News.

Can't wait.

We need to make sure that it doesn't clash with a round of the BRCA Championship otherwise we won't get the best drivers attending.

Does anyone know how many rounds will count towards the F licence grades?

From my poor memory back in 1988/89 the Swords (South West Off Road Drivers Series) raced at some of these tracks:

Weston Super Mare
Exeter
Feniton (Nr Honiton)
Taunton
St Austell
Hale
Plymouth
Kingskerswell
Bournemouth
Yeovil
I apologise if i have missed any tracks out.

is it about time the South West has a thread in the regionals section?

Are all those clubs dead now?

Might have been the Bournemouth event...
