Default Xray T2009 driveshaft and steering block problem

Hey guys

Ive been having trouble since the start of the carpet season with my driveshafts and steering block on my XRAY T2009.

The coupling that goes inside the driveshaft that holds the pins keeps locking up, causing stiff steering as coupling cannot move very well. I have changed nothing on these before the carpet season.

The steering block keeps stripping on the hold where the steering arms where front toe is ajusted goes into, i am being careful to leave it slack and stop tightening when it nips the plastic, the only thing i have changed on these is put a 2mm shim onto the arms which screw into the steering block, do i need a slightly longer screw?

Sorry for the long post but answers to my problems would really help, it is getting very frustrating and expensive doing this.

thank you.

Apparently the washer is to big on my front toe links though this is Graham Kennys set-up...

as of driveshaft, replace barrel and pin and give a good clean i was told, hope this works.

getting frustrating

Truly this never happened to me on any of Xray cars I had (T1 FK04, T2, 007, 008 and 009), but it should help.
