For my first national I was amazed at how close it was (over the whole field). I thought it would be close as its the best drivers in the country, but the difference of being consistent is unbelievable.
If I'd managed to keep it on its wheels for 5mins for the two runs I would have gone up onto the 12's and possibly made up 50 odd places!! just from going 10-20sec's faster over the 5mins!!
You don't get that in too many TC meetings.

Deffinately need more practice to keep it right way up.

Thanks, due being in the 'lower part' of the heats I never really got out to take many pics of the top lads, so there are a lot of the same heats etc.

Was trying my new lens too, only a cheapo thing, but seems ok. Deffo worth the £69.

You should tell that to the racers in the Mid-West, some think they can RACE without being a BRCA member.

Well its not so much being a member to be a mechanic, but you do need to be a member to step within the track boundaries - i.e. within the orange fencing, this is always mentioned at every drivers briefing from as far back as I can remember.

Im not saying send someone else to pick the car up tho. The BRCA membership isn't a lot, get it paid dude.

already in hand wasn't a problem
just didn't realize inside orange tape was classed as in side the track
i took white concrete marks to be track and i never ventured on that while race was in progress,
I'm no driver so don't do DRIVERS briefing

No, no, that's not fair at all. But they know who they are.

A couple of them have already resolved the problem by renewing with their local club.

I always though the problem with the mechanics in the mid west was they licked to walk on the track and get a car while the race is still runnig
