HINCKLEY CLUBS 2014 OFFROAD SUMMER SEASON
Hi all,
Yesterday(Saturday 26th April), we saw ROUND 1 of Hinckleys 2014 OffRoad Club Championships! With the initial Weather Forecast predicting poor Conditions on the day of our first Meeting back Outdoors, none of us really knew what to actually expect on the Saturday morning itself.....................fortunately, by the time a Bunch of Dedicated HRCCC Members Arrived early at the Venue, the Rain had all cleared away, the Sky was pretty bright/Sunny & the Grass Track was only Damp to touch! After a few of us spending an hour or so cutting the Grass & Setting up Race Control, it was all Prepped ready a Fantastic days Racing! By this time, some keen OffRoad Racers had Arrived & the Track was Assembled very quickly.......well done Guys!! A RACERS VIEW OF THE TRACK FROM THE ROSTRUM(AFTER INITIAL SETUP!)   We went for our usual Buggy Meeting Format of 4 Qualifying Rounds with your Best 2 to Count, followed by a Final, but decided for this Season to make our Heats consist of 10 Cars, as this not only made the Racing more Fun & Competitive, but massively Improved Marshalling to cover the Large Layout! There was some really good clean Racing seen allday & many enjoyed some of the close Battles between each other. The Meeting stayed exactly on Schedule allday, due to some great work from Mark & Slinga running Race Control! Everyones already looking forward to the next one! The Next Club Meeting will be on SATURDAY 3RD MAY

Hi,
Last Saturday(3rd May), we saw ROUND 2 of Hinckleys 2014 Club Championships! This time round, the Weather Forecast was looking Fantastic for the whole Weekend, creating a huge Turnout of Drivers there early on the Saturday morning. This made the Track Assembly very Quick & easy, gave more Open Practice time & made for a very Competitve days Racing! A PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE TRACK FROM THE ROSTRUM!  The Track itself was quite abit different to the previous week, being less Technical & more Flowing, creating Faster Lap Times & Closer Racing between Drivers! With there being 5 Full Heats of 2WD Buggies, the Class was extremely Competitive through all 4 Rounds of Qualifying, specially with the Track Conditions changing throughout the day. It was also great to see a few Short Course Trucks making an Appearance to Hinckleys 2014 Summer Season.........hopefully we'll see somemore as the weeks progress!!  There was good clean Driving from everyone during all Finals & a lot of Overtaking seen.........specially in the 'A' Final! Everyone came away with a smile on their face & said that they were already looking forward to the next Meeting! THE 'B' FINAL GRID LINEUP!  Race Control was again run very smoothly allday, by Dedicated HRCCC OffRoad Director Mark Stevens & Track Organiser Andrew Slingsby......thanks for a great job guys! Was also great to see some Racers making a fairly decent Drive to Attend Hinckleys Club Meeting........including Dan Holmes with his 'Pitside Dropshop'! SOME PHOTOS FROM THE FINALS! Hi Everyone!
Last Saturday(10th May), we saw ROUND 3 of Hinckleys 2014 Club Championships! Right up until early Saturday morning, quite a few of us were unsure on whether we'd be able to Race, as the Weather Forecast was looking at Heavy Rain virtually allday............fortunately, the Met Office were out on their initial Prediction & we had Dry & fairly bright Weather for the majority of the day! MAIN VIEW OF THE TRACK DURING OPEN PRACTICE!  Everyone Attending all did a Fantastic job of getting the Track Built, allowing plenty of Open Practice time before the Meeting started. The Layout itself was nice & Flowing, but the Straight Table Top Ramp & Main Jump were positioned at Angles, making it more Tricky than it looked! There was the usual Format of 4 Qualifying Rounds, but due to Meeting going like Clockwork allday, it allowed all Racers to have 2 Legged Finals! SOME PHOTOS DURING THE FINALS :    The Forecast for this week is set to change & theres some Excellent Weather coming from Thursday onwards, so we should have some cracking Racing this Weekend!! Hi everyone,
Last Saturday(17th May), we saw ROUND 4 of Hinckleys 2014 OffRoad Club Championships! With some Amazing Weather, we saw another Fantastic turnout of Racers turning up nice & early to get the Grass prepped & Track Built, ready for a great days Racing!! A PANORAMIC VIEW OF THE TRACK FROM A DRIVERS PERSPECTIVE!  With a super Fast Flowing Track, incorporating a selection of Jumps/Table Top Ramps & 4 Full Heats worth of 2WD Buggies, it made for an extremely Close Competitive days Racing for everybody. This week we managed to get 5 Qualifying Rounds in, making the Overall Results even Tighter between Drivers, with only 2 Rounds needed to Count! 2WD BUGGY 'C' FINAL GRID LINE-UP!  All Finals saw some good Battles & Clean Driving throughout, making it just as Fun for the Spectators watching, as it was for all the Racers Competing! Hi everyone,
Last Saturday(31st May), we saw ROUND 5 of Hinckleys 2014 OffRoad Championships! From the very start of Track Preparation, the Sunshine was out & many Racers were desperately sorting out their Cars for another Fantastic days Racing!! The usual Format was used.i.e around 30minutes of Open Practice, followed by 4 Qualifying Rounds(with your Best 2 to Count) & Finals for all!! A FEW RACERS DOING SOME PIT PREPARATION!   RACERS ON THE ROSTRUM, AWAITING THE START OF QUALIFYING :  Lots of Close Racing was seen allday, making the Qualifying extremely tight & the Finals even Closer!!
