3* geared on a 15t pinion / kit spur. Not tried the 4* personally but I think its too fast having seen it, the 3* is plenty fast enough for me.

Thread changed to B4 instead of BJ4 ! So ignore what I said before.

I dont have any idea about running the brushless in the 2wd, I feel the systems I used so far were a bit much for the 2wd and not really as smooth as I'd like, too powerful.

Default Vector on 2WD

Spain National Champion is using one star, he sais that you do not need more. Please take in mind that here we run un dusty, dry and slippery tracks so maybe on the grass you could go for the 2 stars without trouble.

Over here we mostly run on gras and astroturf tracks, very similar to your typical UK track. Most of us use the 3* motor in 2WD, although this can be a very hot setup when it becomes slippery (rain, the occasional clay track). For general purpose in 2WD, I would say a 2* would be fine. A 4* is waaaaaaay to hot in a 2WD. Some tried a 4* and ended up running 5 cells.

I use a 16t or 17t on the stock spur depending on the track length.
