Lead!
Just thought I'd kick off the Associated forum with some photos of lead placement. I dont run any on the rear plate any more but I do run 10g on the rear brace and 10g each side in the rear of the chassis.
 Am I behind the times or do most people still put lead back there ?

I do, it is to try to calm down the rear end as it can be, erm, quite excitable!!

Vickys car as 100g of lead in there but then its a FT with all the bling and even a super light Atomic Carbon cell strap. I put most of the lead at the back but also about 20g at the front, to make it understeer and also rotate slower and basically stick to the ground!

Indoors I don't run any these days, outdoors I normally have 15g under the rear bulkhead. Unless it's a smooth track then I'll take it out, I hate heavy cars

we runn 20g all the time, stuck to the rear wishbone hanger / anti squat plate, and 10 g ether side of the top plate brkt

I have only just started with the B4 but i use 30gramms of weight in car. The 2 small sections of the chassis inside the car near the receiver on one side and speedo on other (as in your pics) 15gramms in each section. seems to hold the car quite nicely. (mind you it aint a posh B4 like yours):smile:

4WD weight
I raced at the Teesdale 4WD regional the other week with a shed load of lead weight all over the car (in all the places described above and some on the servo and to either side as well) Other than the fact that my driving was crap, the car was incredibily stable through all sections on the track without sacrificing any speed down the straight. I'm definately gonna leave a whole load of it in for next time

i always run my b4 with 10 gramms in the rear of the chassis and 10g right at the front. it seems to give more grip alround i run it every wear with a extra short wheelbase by cutting of the lumps in the pivot plate and spacing the rear wishbones forward and the hubs. all the top drivers do this to.

lumps in the pivot plate? I confess I have never seen that. I have seen (and use) the wishbones spaced forward by filing the front of the wishbone a bit.
I didn't run it this weekend though. The heavier car is definately easier to drive.

just look behind the pivot plate, you can see the lead u can just get 27-30 grammes in there its were all the big lads run it and above that on the rear top link plate you should run 5 grams ether side 10 at tivy
