Default alloy hop up parts

Just looking on the Schumacher website and they have alloy yokes (7.5 and 12.5) what do this do if anything at all? if it does make any difference what blocks do you have to use with these yokes?

I have tried all three, and have the 12.5 on now, it makes the steering feel smoother with these on, I won't attempt to go into the tecnological stuff, haha. But just bolt them on with the existing other bits.
