Paul I've used a white gloss kitchen door which was cheap but heavy , I'm currently using a piece of acrylic that's used to make shop signs

My mate Maddy on here makes them, he can even do your own design on then too

I got a piece of thick toughened glass cut to size and glued one of those self healing mats to it, works a treat.
