Default Yokomo Works 91 steering help

Hi guys. My mate is racing his Works 91 (cell slots in a slight V shape) and his having a bit of an issue with the steering. He cannot get a great deal of steering lock, and it looks to have the opposite of ackerman where the outside wheel turns more than the inner one. The steering rods angle back a fair bit from the inside on the bellcranks, towards the steering arms. I am sure I have seen later cars with a seperate drag link connected to the bellcranks, which looks to keep the steering tie rods more parallel with the wishbones.
The car is built correctly, and set up as best we can do. Can anyone give some advice on what we can do to improve it? Cheers
