Thumbs up Meeting 21/3/14

Well... what another great night we all had! It ran all smooth and we was finished for good time too. Well done to Danny and hats off to Nori, for running this club. Also thanks to Neil for the YouTube vids. Keep it up and I'll see you next race!

we need to brush the floor before the track is laid down. it's tricky to do after the track is down, and its a significant factor in how fast tge grip improves.
it takes no time at all to push two brushes round a clear hall in strips, before the track goes in. afterwards it takes significantly longer and you can't remove all the dust.

Theres only me n nick to do it all. Dont feel like sweeping the place when its gonna take us over an hour to empty cupboard n build track to be honest. Especially when people turn up and watch me tape the whole track..... :P

Was still taping at 6 when people were putting cars down. Got there just after 4.30 too.

Might take twice as long to brush after. Lets say ten min instead of 5. Thats 5 min ontop of our hour n half, or ten min for someone who lands at 6. I know which im going for pmsl.

you are missing the point Danny. I spent 20+ mins brushing round the track while you were taping, the n did another 15-20 more mins taping after you had stopped. im not complaining about this.

it will take lots less time, 5mins to run round an empty hall with a brush at the start. I would do it, but work stops me getting there early. the time saved at the start brushing up means more hands setting up and taping the track afterwards.

Be-leave it or not but that was the 3rd track that we had put down. We had tried a different track down first with a double cross over but it took up too much room and we lost to much hall.

I would like for the other drivers to help with the design i know Paul did one on a napkin and it went well so come on drivers get some ideas on paper and we will build them.

Danny,

If I could get there earlier and watch you build the track I would

When we have a track like fridays which everyone seemed to like it might be worth keeping a note of the layout, could be rebuilt in a few months time.

I got a great idea! (weather anyone agrees with me) The last couple of times, Nori has done a poll into what the track should be like. eg: Smooth, minimal ramps, Short and tight, fast and flowing etc... instead, could we vote for track designs. Upload 4 track designs pictures, and number them, 1,2,3,4... and then get the Cullingworth gang to vote, which design they like the best. then the most voted, wins!

Well it's just an idea...

John, I might start going early with Danny, so that I can start to beat Trevor, in 4wd. Because 1 point, in the third heat, I over took him and got
2 laps a head of him, probably cos his diff fell of half way through the race!!!
