Default What servo are you using on your Cougar?

Hi

As a first time kit builder I'm just getting everything ordered which I need to complete the kit. Can anyone suggest a suitable servo, there seems to be so many I'm abit lost.

Thanks

most people wouldnt argue against a savox. Try either the 1257 or 1258. Both are good servo's

I'd recommend any of the GM Servos here:

Sanwa (#ERG-WZ) Digital ERG-WZ Servo currently in the Cougar, was going to be a Savox 1258, but it's in my mate Cat SX.. Must reclaim it...

Savox servos are very nice. 1257 in my Cat SX

any particular one? The 808 looks the pick, or maybe the 807? Think the 806 would be overkill on the torque!!

I'm using an GM (Graupner actually) 807 in my Cougar and it's a very good servo for the £, but I'm having a hard time believing those numbers mentioned on the site. .

the speed quoted if for 40deg turn, where as most sevros quote based on 60deg turn.

still, 0.04sec/40deg is the same as 0.06sec/60deg, so still damn fast!!!
