Has any one ever sent a nosram storm to Mirage to be repaired after the shaft comes out the back end bell.
This happened to me yesterday and their saying they dont even look at faulty motors over 6 month old.

I got the same reply when I sent asked about a 3* a few months back with a broken rotor. I've go a rotor on back order as they don't stock them in the UK :(
Are these the maintenance free motors everyone is talking about, that will last a lifetime? :D
Sorry, couldn`t resist it:p

Because my motor was over six months old Mirage wouldnt look at it.
So i stripped it down and look what had gone wrong. The shaft had come loose form inside the rotor and melted throught he back endbell and popped out.
I have just repaired this motor now by crimping the 2 gold spacers into position on the shaft either side of the rotor, they are a very very tight fit now and will no longer allow the rotor to slip down the shaft. ;)
I also replaced the bearings thanks to Kanzen racing for them.

surely maitaince free should be dropped as a selling gimmik because all moving parts require maintaince ie lube bearings clean switchgear if they claim this they should have a disclaimer on the packet not in small print on a instruction sheet if you wont to get replace contact trading standards i know its a pain in the arse but u should not make claims which are untrue and to say the distributor representing and honouring warranty are just fobbing you off i work in the service industry this is almost standard practise to mask either poor products or bad marketing try it u may get a new motor providing u can supply a valid uk receipt ie vat code on it ;)
