SXX TC Temp Check System

Tried using this at the weekend and got confused! How quickly do you get the flashes, and does it repeat once finished?

Asking as I was getting a flash once every 3 seconds continually!?

I have a nosram pearl(same speedo), i follow the instructions and just get the same as you dave, continuous flashing??

I think the old ones needed you to hold brake when you turned them off for the temp check to work, i am going to try it tonight.

I believe that is right, when you finish your run, you hold full brake and turn it off, when you then switch back on, it gives a temp indication, but then I got confused as to whether more or less flashes was good!

More flashes = lower temp. It was something like one flash for every 5c below shutdown temp, but what the actual shutdown temp i've no idea. It wasnt documented.

I think more flashes on the sphere/nosram evolution was better, something like every flash is 5deg under shutdown. On the pearl/sxx the manual says every flash is closer to shut down, so less is better.

Its just getting it to work thats the problem!!

OK, just read up on this, the procedure is

1) Hold brake down, turn off esc
2) Hold Mode Button down, turn on ESC
3) The ESC will flash 5 times, this is the max temp setting (thermal)
4) Every flash after that, is 8'c away from thermal i.e: 8 flashes and you are 24'c away from Thermalling.
