Which Tresrey Parts for Dex210/410

Hi,

I am thinking about ordering some Tresrey parts for my Durangos...

Which parts would from Tresrey would you recommend for Dex210/410?

I do not want to buy any parts because they look better than the plastic ones, but only these which really make sense.

MB models have new parts in stock and these new alloy hubs for the 210 and i was sooooo close to buying them but i coudnlt see the instant benifit of using the alloy hubs

I'm probably the wrong person to ask, my 210 has so much Tresrey its basically completely red (hubs now ordered to complete the package...)

I will break it down though:
Shim set - Actually yes. The stock plastic shims are a bit flexy.
Bulkhead - if you want a little extra weight, but not a lot perhaps.
Shock collars, thumbscrews, buttons - Bling really
Motor mount - Its better than the stock one (more secure, runs cooler, more clearance on the shock tower) but not worth it unless you really want red
Front rear wishbone mount - Worthwhile as much stronger than stock.
Rear rear wishbone mount - Worthwhile if you want to change angles, no point otherwise.
Rear camber plate - Yes. Stronger, better position and more options.

Here's some thoughts .... I'm a sucker for Tresrey stuff....

On a sliding 'bling' scale ...

Not so much bling and actually useful....

410 & 210 14mm wheel hexes - swap your wheels over without losing anything !

410 Hinge pins - significantly stronger than kit.

210 front wheel axle screws - change your front wheels with the same tool as the rears, don't mash the button head screw either !

210 Rear carbon fibre camber link - another option to the popular gurnell link, but means you don't need to dremel your gearbox case. You can't however get the ball studs quite as low using this one I don't think.

210 CF steering link - helps sharpen and stiffen the steering. Other options are available !

410 servo saver crank - plenty of people have had the plastic kit one break. Durango also do one (but it's not red is it?)

Semi bling

210 motor plate. Gives some not so much require heatsink, but does help make gearbox rebuilds at trackside about 5% easier as the spacer is threaded to the plate.

210 Rear toe blocks - arguably a little easier to change your toe in this way. But not a cheap way of doing things.

Battery thumb screws - only because I really don't like the kit ones and they're cheap.

Pure 100% bling

The 210 top deck bushing ... but I still bought em !! haha
Red washers ... turns out they don't make you go faster. Who knew ?

Shock pre-load nuts - help your shocks look good. Otherwise are the same shaper as the kits plastic ones.

I'm hoping the hubs might solve the clearance issue with the rear wheels - its easy to get a stone jammed between the wheel and hub with the stock ones.

Big bonus of the red washers - easy to find after a crash!

I forgot I've got the Tresrey rear cone washer (lets you run pin fit wheels), the red 14mm hexes (doesn't fall off if you change the wheels, doesn't come off if you lose a wheels and doesn't cost any more than the not as good Durango alloy hex) and the top deck bushings (look nice).

I think I might have a slight addiction issue......

Oh, and the front bulkhead - no tab for the droop screws. Not a big deal, but worth knowing.

Maybe the motor plate as well?

Could you tell me the advantage of the bulk heads? What do you mean by "no tab for droop screws"?

Do I need all of the shims which are included in the set?

The droop screws on the front wishbones work against two small tabs that stick out of the bulkhead. The tresrey bulkhead lacks those two tabs, so the droop screws have nothing to push against.

Whether or not you need the whole shim set depends on how many shims (if any) you have under ballstuds. The 'full set' is enough for all the most setups.

If you have/getting a 410 v3 then I would recommend the tresrey servo saver arm(they break easily),rear gearbox holder(break if you land on the rear corner),wheel hexes(when doing up the wheels on the plastic ones it binds onto the bearings) and also important is the servo arm(tresrey don't make them).
People tell me the tresrey drive shafts are nice but wear very quickly.
