Default cutting B4 front wheels

Hi,

I have a question,
Some people at our local rc track are running slim wheels.
I don't know where they buy them.
But could I cut the inner ring form the wheel?
Is this bad?
Does the balance still remains?

most people that run slim wheels have cut them down, so shouldnt be a problem, just take your time, slim wheels are especially good with the stagger ribs, both cut and not cut, with no front inserts

Do the sensible thing and ask them where they buy their wheels from
