Intermittent help
We have 5 minute race's in our 14th scale micro buggy heats and every race about 4 to 4 and a half minutes in my car will go slower for a few seconds then speed up again then randomly go slower again then speed up again and so on, it's a pain when your winning a race and then this happens on the last minute and costs you the race. I have tried multiple motors and its the same, the esc is a hobbywing 60A , with overheat switched off, servo is savox 1257mg,
If anyone had any idea what could be causing this please help, thankyou.

If everything else is functioning still (i.e. steering) ruling out a brown out of the RX, is it potentially hitting the low voltage cutoff on the lipo? Not having run one of these I don't know how long a lipo normally lasts in one.
Worth turning down the cutoff voltage on the ESC? Are both motor and ESC temp cutoff disabled?

Hi firstly thanks for the reply, my overheat is switched off and my low voltage cut off is set at 3.2v per cell, I use 2s 2300mah ip lihv lipos, the batteries come off the track with between 35% and 48% remaining in them and they show around 7.4v remaining,
I may try a bigger spur or lower pinion or change the esc, The esc was brand new when put in the car but even new things can be faulty I suppose.

Probably low voltage then.
Every time you nail the throttle the voltage drops below your 6.4 threshold and false triggers LVC. If you've got 35-48% left after a race, switch your LVC off and add a timer to your Tx. |

Thanks yorkiebar and mattr,
I turned the low voltage cut off from 3.2v per cell to 3.0v per cell and I managed a 6 minute practice with no loss in power and 40% still left in battery, I raced it in 5 x 5 minute race's and it didn't cut out even once, Thanks again for your help, Its appreciated
