I'm curious whether they have left open the option to put a diff in the front or if they've actually made a more 2WD-like front end (in the case of a 2WD front end: in combination with a motor and shorty at the back would make front mounted rear shocks more logical, right)?

Anyway, I'm glad they called it the XB4 2WD... much like the post mentions, it kind of implies they have plans for a more universal 2WD, which I would love to see

with the kick up on the chassis i doubt whether you'd be able to fit a front diff and front centre driveshaft. the top deck and bulkhead would probably be different. i wonder what motor / lipo layout they've used?

post says many shared parts with the 4wd, so I expect rear will be similar and front different. Hope its similar to the 4wd, as that's awesome.

Might be tempted if it is. Saddle configuration would also tempt me, if shorty then I would re think. don't want to have to buy more lipos.

either way, I am sure it will be awesome like the 4wd.

So it seems that Xray have just changed the layout inside but done pretty much nothing with the chassis!!!!
Good luck with that not scrubbing on the corners.... You could have made at least some effort

Not sure I totally agree. A xb4 plus a 2wd chasis is probably going to cost you £400ish. This is £280. This just gives people a choice if they don't want the 4wd bits.

Having said that and having thought about it for a day not sure they have done enough to make me want to switch from my db1. Chris Ellis' shortie conversion layout would have been nice

They haven't even done that, the only thing I can see is adding the front kick up on the aluminium chassis plate and a slightly different shell.
