ALL ABOUT DIFF OIL'S
Not knowing about diff oil's has led me to start this thread. With alot of people out there in 1/8th offroad land using oils what characteristics does thicker/thinner oil give you in the front/rear of the car.

Diffferentials: Thinner front differential oil increases off power steering, but if the oil is too thin the steering will become grabby and inconsistent.
Thicker front differential oil increases off power stability and increases on power steering. Thinner rear differential has more corning traction and increases steering in the middle of the turn. Thicker rear differential has less steering in the middle of the turn and more forward traction. Source losi ...

same principle as running a looser or tighter ball diff thicker oil = tighter diff, thinner oil = looser diff

Same to shock oil, if using Lipo to run which make the car lighter, need to change the shock oil as well if before was running Ni-MH?
