Reedy Sonic Motors
Hi All,
Does anybody know what the numbers mean on the reedy rotors.. i.e. these.. 540-M3 Mod Rotors274 – Reedy 540-M3 Mod Rotor, 12.3 x 5.0 x 25.3 275 – Reedy 540-M3 Mod Rotor, 12.5 x 5.0 x 25.3 276 – Reedy 540-M3 Mod Rotor, 13.0 x 5.0 x 25.3 Basically the 12.3, 12.5 and 13.0 (since they are the only differences) but any info would be good. Cheers! Stuart |

This will be the rotor magnet diameter, 12.3 mm, 12.5mm and 13mm, basically the thicker the magnet the more torque it will produce |

Awesome. Thanks for the info.
A 13.0 x 5.0 x 25.3 has been ordered :-) Stuart |

Really interested re the torque comment. Never knew.
Does that mean a 13mm will have more torque or more torque at a certain RPM or could it be reversed that a 12.3mm would have a higher RPM Just curious...

A 13mm rotor will have more torque all the way through the rev range with slightly lower top rpm than say a 12.3mm rotor, you can gear up a little more using the high torque rotors to compensate the slightly lower rpm
