Another work dilemma
I have to go and do a survey on an oil tanker we are converting, the problem is i have to go and meet it in either long beach, or dubai
 Where should i choose  Long beach sound more fun to me right now

weather Ski Resort Desert racing Shops Beaches only downside will be the heat ! http://www.dubairchobbies.org/rc_store_in_dubai_.htm Theres a few tracks out there aswell !

Dubai!
There's plenty of RC tracks there. One of the princes there races, with his servants as marshals Don't limit to RC though as there's an F1 spec track that they do sessions on and miles of open (but bumpy) desert to mess around with a Land Cruiser in.

 Me I'd go for Long Beach, a lot of it may be silicon valley but at least you can see what your getting!
