Protecting your shells
im just about to send a shell away to be painted and with this investment clearly I dont want to be losing paint.
so how do you guys protect the paint? or how do you? what do you use? thanks. |

i use a pva substance give it a couple of coats its nice and thick and stops any rubbing of the body shell

you shouldn't have to worry about that, your painter should seal the shell/s for you.
personally, i use plastikote super clear. |

On some shells I will plastikote, and if wings are being painted, I will do the same, but to be fair, as long as the water based paint has time to cure, paint should be sound, I have shells here that are 2 1/2 years old, used regular by the kids, and paint still in tact.
