Crafty devils £££, they could have done this in the first place!

I guess this has been done more for the U.S. Market, and particularly stock classes where the reduced drag of the straight belt run and lower weight will help a lot.

tbh. Dont think all options parts are "Most have".. I run the KF2 as low grip whit shorty and 90% on carpet tracks, and i love it! I want to give Schumacher a thumbs up, they really do a great job.. Last edited by KentH; 29-07-2015 at 07:17 PM. |

Racing on grass the KF2 lacks a little on forward drive out of low speed corners like hairpins etc and is made worse when grip is low. Racing on grass has showed up that flaw.
The weight distribution will have changed a little but by moving the motor back they are utilizing the benefit of the motor rotation to help transfer the weight over the rear axle fast to give a more stable rear end on acceleration. I for one have one coming ready for this weekends local regional!

I think it is sort of designed with the American indoor clay stock racer in mind, who run 17.5's and strive to get the weight down to 1499 grams. I don't really think it will work that great on Astro, but very well might be the ticket on clay.

Or slippy low grip indoors, or grass make the car more versatile.

One of the Schumacher drivers in the U.S. has been testing this layout for a while now, it's all on RC Tech if anyone wants to look.

What a load of shite. If that was the case would have been a one off or still preproduction. I would say plenty of testing will have been done on other surfaces other than dirt.

It puts the motor and cells in the same position as many other mid motor 2wds, so it's a good starter for lower grip tracks

Yeah but those others 2WD (YZ2, B5M Low Rider) are rather high grip cars
It rather looks like "the other layout" high and medium grip car than a true low grip car like a X-6, a B5M, a BMax 2 or even a SV2. Even the LG layout of current KF2s seems to have more rear weight bias. Of course all of my gibber is armchair engineer ranting and will self-destruct if the next KF2 proves to be a low grip champ

Michal was B final, Ben C final at warm up. Euro's was wakeup and this kit is result. We'd all like to see a local UK or Schumacher driver fighting it out in the A final... This is a good thing. It's released to customers before it's use in anger by the factory and b team drivers at the Euros. Anyone else who wants it can now try it too. Ben's promo vid and build shots on Facebook are good marketing.
