damp clay setup
our latest national was at a damp/wet clay track. since there aren't many clay or dirt setups around, i thought it might be worth posting.
The track was mostly damp, but sometimes wet after an occasional rainshower. At the beginning of the day, the track was smooth, but during finals became quite bumpy. The control tyres were Losi IFMAR studs I was very happy with this setup |

Is that running a v3 6.5 Speed Passion motor?
What gear ratios are people running with the V3? |

It's a V2. Haven't made the switch to a V3 yet.

Can people recommend a gearing set-up for a V3 6.5
Mine was running very hot today and I'm looking at 83/22 next time etc. Running a SP GT Pro ESC too, so am planning on winding the timing totally back on that too. |

I've been running on 21/83 and it gets warm on grass, but never too hot.
can run 15 mins on astro no problems |

Just saw this photo of trish's cat on the RHR report.
http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/2010n.../DSC_5920.html If you look closely you will see that the rear block has been raised. What is the advantage of doing this?

I guess that it has been re-drilled the same distance as the front rear block mod? Would be interested to hear other peoples thoughts that have tried this.

What castor blocks were you using, 7.5s? Also what does LEV stand for with regards to shock length? |

|

|

I was running 12.5 deg Caster blocks, and I'm pretty sure Si was too.
I think Lev = level and refers to ride height, meaning driveshafts level

I've been running 12.5 yokes for a few meetings now and I'm liking them. I found they take out a lot of that initial snap into a corner so you don't suddenly find you've oversteered
