On the white wishbone picture the triangular area is what i would fill in giving a bit more strength. To be honest having a solid white chunk of a wishbone on front and rear on my lazer would look and be superb.

I'm interested in a new set of four if you could send a pic so I can see if they take the sway bars, the RPM arms on the Mid can't accept the sway bars but for the project I'll use the MPP arms on I plan to use sway bars

definitely can be done, a solid arm, but how about unsprung weight ? I always though we should get arms that are indestructible yet not too heavy. Again, white or black ?

Long Arms of the Law
I have a question in practicality concerning the Lazer ZX Arms I am planning to manufacture. The question is to those who are interested in them of course. Will you guys be using it for a shelfer or runner? Keep in mind the arms will be designed to be "unbreakable" ,so thus is targeted for those who intend to race. So, like myself, I guess none of you have broken any rear arm before ? So if that is the case, wouldn't it make economic sense to just make black front unbreakable arms, that way it would match in color to the original rears. Unless of course most of you guys prefer to have the bling factor ala old school RC10 style (4 white arms) .
Also, owing to the limited interest in them, I cannot manufacture enough quantities to lower the cost. If I make 4 rear arms and 4 fronts, the selling price would be circa U$50 including shipping for a complete set of arms, which is the same as what its going for on ebay for originals these days which is about 40 GBP excluding shipping. So let me know your thoughts on this. |

Good point, some of the cars I purchased second hand, which came with a set of spare suspension arms, always had at least one front suspension arm replaced, and still a pair of new unused rear arms. As a result I have at least twice as much new spare rear arms than fronts. The front suffers more than the rear, in my opinion. Another thing btw, if making the arms unbreakable, where will the energy go in case of a crash? Often if you fix a weak link in a chain of parts that are connected, the next part in line will suffer. |

Id be up for a set in white but next month as ive git a huge service bill for my real car.
If unbreakable then the next weak point is the chassis holding the gearbox and pivot block as that may snap as that happened with me when i did area51 event and hit a wall at about 45mph, wishbone took the full impact and didnt break but chassis did.

Seems to me that switching out a wishbone is less work than replacing a broken gearbox or chassis. |
