Had my first meeting yesterday with the car. Kit setting it had so much rear grip that just kills the front. After some changes the car was excellent to drive.
I ran at chadderton and the changes I made were. Stand the front shocks up to middle hole on the tower. Rear toe in went from 3 to 2.5 degrees. Went from 2 to 3 degrees rear anti squat and raised the rear camber link from -1 to +1mm. This gave the car loads more steering and not as much rear grip but the car still has lots of traction and is very nice to drive. Losi are into a cracking platform with this car.

How does the car go with the yz2 box in?
Is it true Losi are working on a Laydown gearbox?

So has anyone actually run the standard car in proper high grip conditions yet?

Be interesting to know how it goes on high grip astro outside but can't imagine too many peolpe have seen a dry track so far this year!

Yes, but he could make a tamiya grasshopper look competitive, was kinda wondering if someone with more normal levels of talent had tried it

Default Losi in the dry

My thoughts entirely on this subject. Goes well in the wet but have yet to see in the dry! I also heard the team drivers were running a prototype laydown gearbox at Silverstone so not the best measure.

Guess we will find out more when BWOC is run at Silverstone as bound to be a lot more Losi drivers then.

I'll be running mine on mainly slippy gym hall floor plus a bit of carpet on 21st Feb at Falkirk. Interested to see how it goes compared to my old B5M.

Default Losi 22-3 Mr DW

Hi David

Not about to jump ship just yet! Going to see how they run in the dry first. Tbh probably score a new buggy in May/June and losi is front running at mo. Also enjoying pursuing the kf rear motor layout with Dave L at the moment.

Xb2 looks good but never really fancied an X-ray.... Damned ugly buggies though not as ugly as PR's!

"Damned ugly buggies though not as ugly as PR's" - Haha I totally agree. A buggy has to look good! I think the XB2 looks better than the XB4. The PR cars do make me feel a little sick when I look at them!

I ran mine at Silverstone BWOC warm up.

I am definitely no pro. With box setup I found it pushed on, on entry to fast corners. The rear was very planted. I changed front and rear springs and also oils. I found the car handled much much better and but started getting grip roll on the entry. So I now have a base setup for BWOC.

I also have run the car on medium grip carpet and found it to be a much easier car to drive than my old TM2

As a 22 platform car it should be pretty solid. Carrying suspension and steering parts plus some shock shafts never hurts.
