What option parts are you running?
I've not raced my original release full fat 410 since september last year, since then there's been a fair few bits and pieces released for the car.
I've got the weight kit and spring set along with the 2mm drive shafts but is there anything else thats worth getting? I've seen the new big bore shocks but I think they'll be wasted on me but is there any benefit in changing the alloy side pods to the plastic ones? Cheers guys

Cheers mate, I might give the pods a bash but the rest of the car will be staying as it is.

I'm running the 410ultra chassis. It seems to make the car more stable in the corners. also i run the big bores.

Thinking of picking up a DEX410R generally for fooling around & the odd one or two races.
Wondering what bits needed to 'beef up' the car or what usually breaks/high wear? Cheers |

You'd most likely need the alloy suspension mounts and associated pivot balls. Probably cost you around a further. 60 quid. I'd go for a full fat kit with everything on. It's without doubt the best way to get your car ready for the toughest of races, or bashing if you can bring yourself to do it! You could always downgrade and sell off some of the expensive bits.. Side pods for one, servo mount for two and fit plastic - recoup some of the difference in price.

Buy the full fat one. Then plastic side guards and a Tresrey servo saver arm, and that is it.

are big bores really worth the money or is it better spent getting more tires? because im debating weather to get them or not.

One part I think all durango cars should have are the Tresrey aluminum gearbox positioners. At least the rear one anyways. I've gone through 2 plastic ones and both happened on pretty minor crashes. I have yet to break a front one though.

Not broken one in almost two years of having the car, can't imagine what you need to do to break one

I weekly race the "low fat" 410r. the only add on i put on it was the front alloy suspension block. rest of the car is stock. its been a very solid car. i beat on it hard!

Try jumping your car.

You'd need to do that boss.
The only things I've broken are 1 front wishbone and the servo-saver - both these were in big impacts with imovable abjects. The servo saver can be beefed up with the aftermarket part, but I'm wary of just trasferring the forces to the next part down the line, possibly the servo. For that reason I run the stock one and carry a spare - they are quite cheap and can be changed between runs.

Maybe. Or maybe the tracks I race on have way bigger jumps. Either way, I hope I was able to help you imagine how a part like that can break.
