Default x6 azarashi shell

any one got any idea how to fit the asarashi shell iv used the outa battery strap screws with round bits of lexan as washers and cut slits in the shell any other ideas thanks

Any pics ? i think i know what you mean i had problems with my phat bodies shell until i did the saddle mod , i guess you are running stick pack ? i found they made the battery retainer sit too high and catch on the body , after i did the saddle mod the batts sit lower and allow the retainer to locate on the posts, this means the shell fits. bit of waffle but i think it comes down to how high your batts are to let your shell fit. No problems with the origonal body tho as it is very high around the side pods.

This works fine, If you trim the body lower than the line then you should be able to use velcro-or is it too late for that!!

that looks like a good idea but how do u do the screws for the body clips the screws would stick in to the batt thanks

-The screws are just short countersunk ones with the battery clamps countersunk on the underside to suit, positioning is a bit crital to fit the body at it's flatest point, level with the deepest part of the screen, Cheers, Gord..

Tall LiPo batteries can be a bit of an issue -- when the car was designed 4200s were about the top and everything fits well. Our shell fits with 5000s if you cut below the cut line.

Velcro is all we've ever used to hold the shell on here in the U.S., but we don't have your U.K. (maybe EFRA??) rule about the body must be on the car. Can't remember seeing a velcroed body come off recently.

Car certainly performs differently without the shell -- there's more to aerodynamics than many think. When you change shells, you change things -- sometimes better, sometimes not...

i do use a slim batt and there is no where to put velcro that will keep the shell on the body is to wide. i think lt is a nice shell but will not be getting another i will stick to the boring x6 origanol shell

For fit, the standard shell is the best no question, however I run/ran my Vykal with no issues only with Velcro. See the pics below you can see that I use velcro most of the way round the chassis edge and it's fine. You could also use a body clip as per B4 at the front (which I don't use) or mount drilled cap head screws on the chassis sides as Ellis does.

To note, my Vykal was pre production and didn't have cut lines so I cut at the bottom fold in the lexan, this might explain some extra clearance. Even with the stock X6 shell I now cut below the cut line for extra clearance with 5000mah+ lipo.





the cell brace does rub the shell hence the strategically placeed Vampire stickers

that is where i went wrong i cut on the line if cuting below the line works with velcro i just might get another thank for idea

For the record my Vykal is cut as deep as possible and fits over my 5000 lipo, but only with velcro pulling the shell down at the sides. Will fit over my slim lipo no trouble.

Mine was fitted using Super_Dans expert tuition

My motor looked liked it was on the squiff as well.It seemed like the motor plate clamp was pulling the motor plate to far across so i just put some shims inbetween the motor plate and and the clamp to straighten it up.

all u had to do was turn the motor plate clamp it is not cendered in the middle

Indeed when Bulk did his first he defied physics by doing his up so tight it pulled the motor plate all the way across.
