Default roll bar

ive been wanting a roll bar set for my zxr, but not had much luck in finding one, so i decided to make my own from a team associated b44 roll bar and some carbon fibre i had spare. both front and rear work great.....but the front catches on the steering links on full lock if i use the zxr steering plate, but using the zx steering plate the links just miss the roll bar .please can anybody who has the original roll bar set tell me if the same happens when using the zxr steering plate?

My ex team mate Mannie Pannesar designed the front roll bar for the ZX and i still prefer the zx steering plate to the zxr one. Other idea is bend it more to miss it on full lock.

You could try mounting the ARB balljoints on the inside of the wishbone and then bending the vertical links so they don't foul the top camber link?

i thought about bending the arb link, that will work i think. putting the balljoint on the inside would mean drilling a new hole and that would be a pain if i break a wishbone. having to keep drilling them.

Default Any information please

Hi All,

I'm new on here and hope to get some information on a car I just bought. I already had a much modified Lazer ZXR that had at some point been converted to 2WD using parts from a Pro X, its a great buggy and rather than try to turn it back into a ZXR I decided to leave it alone and get a complete ZXR instead. This is what I ended up with.
Can anyone advise as to what I have?
I understand from a helpful chap on Tamiyaclub that the body is ZXS and the rest may be modded ZXR mk1? its all carbon fibre, front and rear CVDs, torque splitter, ecto plasma motor.

I think it's a WASP chassis.

Picked up a Lazer Sport and a Lazer ZXR last night

The R had a moulded rear wing - would that mean it is an RR? Is there much difference between the two?

Is the clutch on the R a Hyperclutch? How can I tell?

I'd like to make the R a runner but upgrade everything as I restore it - I don't keep my resto projects stock. So with that in mind I'd like to go carbon throughout with Fibre Lyte parts, velvet shocks all round, Lunsfords all round and new hex screws throughout too.

I see the S chassis is quite different to the R - is it possible to build an S from an R? From pics of the S cars on here it looks like many of the parts are too specific to build a replica S.

Theres a ZX on page 233 (Green and White) which is simply stunning - if I could get mine close to that I'd be very happy.

Hyperclutch has two screwsttaching the spur to the slipper system. One zxr kit did have a plastic wing but believe it was bought as an extra as a lot of zxr drivers used those wings including me.

The S chassis is a mk1 version andi believe the r version you have is mk2 so chassis are different. Also i recal the sport having different parts as well so doubt youd be able to use as spares for a zx.

Also the zxs on fibrelyte is a totally different car so cant use any items on the zx or zxr.

Still ive still got a new in packet sticker sheet up for sale if anyones interested for the zxs.

Still what you have is superb and with a bit of patience and time youll find the bits and then get to enjoy a car that looks as stunning as Oli's green machine. Also you know the tub chassis can be bought from fibrelyte as well and that makes it look more stunning plus makes the car much more easier to drive.
